Dear ladies,
Thank you, one and all, for participating in our little tribute for Gaye Mayfield. I think it was done perfectly, and I want to thank Pam Finley for her usual excellent efforts in planning a delicious lunch and for the special hat centerpieces. Gaye would have loved walking into our dining room and seeing all her golf hats on display. Thanks also to all of you who shared special memories. I know our little tribute meant a lot to Gaye's daughter.
Swinging into the month of March, we look forward to our beloved DDM tournament which starts on Thursday March 31st and ends on Friday. April 1st. I think this is my favorite tournament of the year.
As those of you present at our General Meeting heard me say, our invitational this year is going to be quite different. We are joining forces with the Chalk Mountain Ladies to put on one "super" tournament between our two clubs. With everything so expensive these days it makes sense to join forces and have one fabulous day of golf. We are trend-setters so I'm thinking other clubs in the San Luis Obispo County area might follow our lead. Grab your partner and plan to play -- it will be a great day of golf with all our friends.
Don't forget to mark your calendars that April 1st means 9am shotgun times!
