Match Play in Monterey?

Here's the latest buzz on the possible change in format at the Monterey Area's (Pacific Women's Golf Association) playdays: They're seriously considering switching from better ball of partner to match play. Surveys within the Monterey area have shown that participation in the playdays would be better with the match play format. Imagine that!
If the Monterey Area changes, that would mean that once a month for six months (April through October) a match play event would be held at a different course each month.
Something to consider while we debate whether or not to stay with Publinks.
Would love your comments.

Well, isn't that just the best news! This will certainly make a difference in our "vote" for changing associations!! Big time!! I'm glad we waited to vote. I hope this will be a definite GO!

When we first joined Roving Rascals it was a match play format but it was still only 4 on a team from each club... Not A, B and C teams, with 8 on a team...

I would enjoy playing the match play format better then what they have now...for Roving Rascals, but I would not want to give up the other association if they don't do something about how many are on a team from each club.

Another way that it might even work is if we could have 16 on a team and do away with A, B and C...

There is to many of us that enjoy playing team play. A four person team just wouldn't be enough.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Looks like they are headed in the right direction.

Danielle,
As I understand it, the two person teams will be matched with teams within the same flight. This way you don't need 8 A players, 8 B players and 8 C players. It's come as you are!
