Pacific Women's Golf Association Play Day at Monterey Pines

That dynamic duo did it again!  Denise Kudla and Rhonda Galyardt took 1st Place Gross in their flight at the recent PWGA Play Day in Monterey Pines!

Clare Shaffer reminds us that the June PWGA Play Day is at San Juan Oaks in Hollister on June 21st.  The course is a Freddy Couples designed course.  The cost is $65.00, which includes greens fees and cart and the deadline to sign up is June 8th.  Send Clare an email, or there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the clubhouse! 

Change for Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Since there's a chance of showers for next Tuesday, I'm going to switch the Mixer to the last Tuesday in April (the 27th) and we'll have our "Odd Holes" game next Tuesday (the 20th).  It's difficult for the hostesses to regroup players for a mixer at the last minute.

So:  Tuesday, April 20th will be "Odd Holes"

And:  Tuesday, April 27th will be "3-2-1 Mixer".

Club Championship Postponed

Message from our President, Clare Shaffer concerning the Club Championship.

Since the course is so soggy/muddy and there is a chance of more rain Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, Maureen and I have decided to postpone the Club Championship to a later date to be announced.   



I sorry to have to do this at such a last minute, but I think you'll agree that all concerned will play better under better course conditions.

There will be sign up sheets for next Tuesday, the 9th (Ace of the Month) and 16th (O.N.E.S.) weather permitting, in the clubhouse, or give one of the hostesses a call to sign up for those two dates.  (Sign-up sheets are now in the pro shop, as of 8:00am Thursday the 4th of March)

Our lovely March hostesses are Jayne Donkin and Caroline Getman.  They look like they are busy, but actually it was rather lonely at the pro shop today as rain cancelled our Tuesday game yet again!  And just a reminder, if you are not going to play(because of rain or any other reason), please give the pro shop or one of the hostesses a call to cancel.

Remember that our Club Championship begins next Tuesday, and if you are not participating and want to play golf, you will need to make your own tee-times for next Tuesday (the 9th) and the following Tuesday (the 16th).

Our Club Championship starts March 9th, and there will be a sign-up sheet passed around at the General Meeting on February 23rd.  Don't forget to sign up!  There will be no other games for March 9th or March 16th.  If you are not playing in the Club Championship and want to play golf, you will need to make your own tee times.

50/50 Drawings

To give ourselves extra money to spend on ourselves, the board has decided to have a 50/50 drawing on luncheon days.  Tickets will be sold at $1.00 per ticket OR $5.00 for 10 tickets.  Winner of drawing will be in charge of the next drawing!  So, bring some extra $$$ (and your lucky rabbit's foot or 4-leaf clover) to the next luncheon (on February 23rd).
