Ruth Barton turns 90.

Hi, I just want to let everyone know that Ruth Barton is recovering from knee surgery and she will be celebration her 90th birthday at the end of the month.

Iam going to bring a card in so everyone can sign it on the 15th of April
and I can send it to her. I don't think she will be playing golf anytime soon.

Cyndi Bergin reports that as of now, Paso Robles C Team is leading in both Gross and Net. However, we have a bye on Monday, and the other teams will be playing on Monday, so the results could change. We'll post the results as soon as we know anything!

Turn right on Niblick, and proceed to intersection of Creston/Niblick. Continue East as Niblick becomes Sherwood, becomes Fontana, becomes Linne Rd. (series of rt/lft/rt/lft turns). Continue East for another 3 1/2 miles. Our driveway is on the left hand side, and will be marked by red balloons. We are immediately past Chatmar Farms=lots of white pasture fencing. The drive is marked by Street sign=Linne Rd/Ham Ranch Lane.

DDM Results

Congrulations to all the winners and participants in the recent DDM Tournament. I will post a list of winners when I receive more information.

Good job to the gals that ran the tournament, and those that were responsible for decorations and lunch.

DDM Tournament - First Day

After a rainy Wednesday, Thursday turned out to be a beautiful day for the start of the tournament. We ejoyed a nice continental breakfast and everyone seemed to be having a great time out on the course! Tomorrow should be another beautiful day!

Rules Seminar in San Jose

I just got this in the mail from Pacific Women's Golf Association. This rules seminar is put on by WGANC which is a separate women's golf association: Womens Golf Association of Northern California. The rules seminar is open to all golfers regardless of affiliation. I want to go and would love it if other went too. Please pass it around to your gals (note to Maureen: I'll post at Paso and will have DAnna post on our blog.

B Team and C Team members will celebrate the end of the 2008 Team Play Season with a potluck at Rene'e Rahilly's house on April 21st beginning around 4:30-5:00 pm.

C Team News

C Team finished off their match play Monday, March 31st with a double win - taking both Gross (44) and Net (43). We have a bye on Thursday, then we can see how we did compared with the other teams. Keep your fingers crossed!

B Team News

Now that we do not have to worry about Team Play finals, we can concentrate on other matters, such as DDM & May Invitational. HOORAY, another bridge crossed.

Services for Danny McCornack

Services for Danny McCornack will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church (on Creston Road close to St. Rose Catholic Church) on Friday morning at 11:00am.

For those of you who know Linda & Ralph McCornack ... they need our prayers. This past weekend, their whole family went camping. Friday night, after everyone had gone to bed, their oldest son had a heart attack in his sleep and could not be revived.

This is such a tragedy and I know that all of our hearts go out to this family in their time of grief.

I don't have any information about the services, etc. ... but I'm sure we'll be given the information as it becomes available.

Well, it's official. The Monterey Area of PWGA has decided to convert to match play as its format for the play days. Yipee! If anyone wants to join the Roving Rascals contact Deb Simmons at 239-0895. You can also contact her at lsimmons805@yahoo.com . The playday schedule is:
April 28: Coyote Creek ( Jack Nicklaus designed, easy and fun)
May 12: Del Monte ( oldest course west of the Mississippi, site of
Champions Tour First Tee Open)
June 9: Pacific Grove (poor man's Pebble, lots of fun)
July 14: Ridgemark (you all know this course from Regina's outings)
August 28: Delaveaga (Santa Cruz...delightful in the summertime!)
October 20: Eagle Ridge (tough, tough, but challenging!)

This year is a great opportunity to play the best Monterey area courses....don't pass it up!!
